This mod adds preschool for toddlers it also allows teens and children to build skills while at school and while doing their homework. They will also have more interactions while they are away.
This mod includes the following mods:
- Preschool mod: Enroll toddlers into public or private preschool.
- Better schools mod: Build skills at school & have more interactions.
- Smarter homework mod: Build skills while doing homework.
- Online Schooling: Attend school online and do homework online with or without classmates
What does this do? | Better Schools
This mod adds on to EA careers it allows teens and children to learn basic skills, increase motives, and have more choices at school. Each interaction has an advantage and disadvantage. Some interactions will stop your teens/children from gaining skills and character values and some just will decrease needs.
Preschool Addition
This mod allows your toddlers to go to school and build skills and character values. They will also have many interactions to do at school that you can choose from. The skills will not glow while they are at school but the skills will be increasing! This will save your sims time of having to teach each toddler and will also give your sims a break. The skills increasing may not “glow” but will be increasing. You can hover over the percentage to see for yourself!
Note: If your toddler doesn’t go to school on time for whatever reason please use the “go to preschool” option when you click on them.
How to join:
Click on the toddler of your choice and select which preschool to join. When your toddler ages up you will need to click them to remove preschool.
Preschool Interactions
- Ask for help – Increases bladder, attention, and hunger. It stops the toddler from gaining skills and character values.
- Take a nap – Increase energy and decreases manners. It also stops the toddler from gaining skills and character values.
- Don’t listen to teacher – Increases fun but decreases all character values and stops the sim from gaining skills.
- Leave School Early – Lets the toddler leave school.
- Normal – Increases all skills and character values SLOWLY but also decreases the fun motive.
- Play with toys – Increases fun, manners, imagination, and movement and nothing else. It stops the toddler from gaining skills and character values.
- Listen to teacher – Increases all skills and character values FAST but also decreases the fun motive fast.
- Make friends – Increases fun, relationships, and social. It stops the toddler from gaining skills and character values.
Make sure the script isn’t deep inside your folder or the preschool options won’t show up.
High School / Grade School Interactions
Sleep in class
- Increases: Energy
- Decreases: Performance, manners, responsibility
Play games on phone
- Increases: Fun, Video gaming skill
- Decreases: Performance, manners, responsibility
Pay attention
- Increases all skills and character values FAST but also decreases the fun motive fast.
Don’t listen to teacher / Slack off
- Increases: Fun
- Decreases: Character values, stops learning
Do Homework in class
- Increases: Homework completions percentage
- Decreases: Responsibility , Stops learning
*Flirt with classmates
- Increases: Romantic Relationships, Social
- Decreases: Responsibility
*Make enemies
- Increases: Mischief, bad relationships, social
- Decreases: Empathy, Emotional Control, Manners, School performance
- Normal – Increases all skills and character values SLOWLY but also decreases the fun motive.
- Play with toys / Scroll Simstagram – Increases fun but stops the learning process and brings down character values!
Online Schooling
Attend School Online:
When you click this option it will take your sim out of school for that day and unlock a new option on the computer that will let you attend a lecture. During the lecture, you will build skills and have a chance of getting a promotion at school. You will also gain work performance which will update when you go to school or choose the “do homework” option on your computer. You will have 4 hours to attend your schools’ lecture after choosing to attend school online. This means after you clicked “Attend school online” you will have an option to attend the lecture until your 4 hours have passed.
Study & Homework:
In this category, you can study different subjects which is perfect for preparing your teens for college. You can also do your homework online by yourself or with other classmates which requires you to know at least two classmates. When you do homework with classmates you will not only complete your homework but you will also increase your relationship with them.
Meet Classmates:
If you use the attend online option a lot to “homeschool” your child/teen then this is a perfect way for them to find friends. Teens will also have an option to flirt with classmates. The more classmates you know the more options of people you will have to do homework with.
