Glass Sugar Cube – what kind of name is that? The home was built by Arthur B. Sweete, a local confectioner who specialized in producing sugar cubes. He also had a fond interest in glass… Something he often spoke publicly about. Either way, the name seemed like a good pair considering the history here.
Built in the 1980s – thankfully kept updated throughout with modern features and fixtures. They just don’t build homes like this anymore. A lot of staircases, too. You’ll get nicely toned legs from frequent stair use. An elevator could easily be installed! That might look neat.
Built to enjoy – a bright and airy living room features a large wall-mounted television and inviting sectional. There is also a sunken entertainment room with a professional audio system. A great place to socialize. If you’re the type to host fabulous events, your guests will love coming and spending time here! Get this, there is even a "zen room" upstairs. As I said, they just don’t build ’em like they used to! The bedrooms are spacious and there is a convenient office, all located on the second level. Lots of balconies, too.
Private owner’s level – All the action happens on the third floor! This space gives the owners of the home a place to relax and enjoy. Great views. Massive skylight. Spa-like bathroom and jet tub. A veranda that allows you a fresh breeze and a space to bask in the sun. Know that the glass on the upper owner’s level has some fancy “insta-frost” technology built in. That way you don’t have the sun streaming in at all ours. Or if you don’t fancy the view of the fish factory next door that produces tinned tuna at lightning speeds! Don’t forget. This place has a great ocean view, too!
Mr. Sweete hosted rad parties – this place was always jumping. Some radical parties were had by the pool and around the patio. If you’re the more laid-back type, not only will the neighbours greatly appreciate you, but you’ll find this space to be a good place to escape and relax! Low maintenance with minimal grass to maintain. Beautiful pool!
Scoop up this tubular pad! This one won’t last long on the market. Consider it four-bedroom, four bathrooms, and loads of space for you to enjoy life within. It’s the Glass Sugar Cube, baby!
