Sims 4 BUST THE DUST Mods OVERHAUL

Sims 4 BUST THE DUST Mods

Yet again, Maxis completely butchered a concept I’ve always wanted to see done. I played with the new Bust The Dust kit over the last week and tried to salvage as much as I could from the clunky gameplay and annoying features.

This mod has multiple packages to choose from, read the descriptions below before downloading.

This mod requires the Bust The Dust kit.

DESCRIPTIONS

Better Animations

By default, sims will react to the dust level in the environment everytime they change floors. This means they will always stop after going up/downstairs to react to the dust.

With this package, the reaction is made more dynamic (sims can walk and react at the same time) and won’t occur every single time sims change floors.

If you use my Better Environment Reactions mod, you don’t need this package!

Faster Vacuum

Vacuum interactions are now much faster and work more intuitively.

Vacuuming dust piles, puddles, etc. will no longer reduce the amount of overall dust in your sims’ house, and will now properly destroy the vacuumed object.

Just one vacuum interaction on the floor will bring your sims’ house from filthy to clean. Interaction time will depend on the amount of dust and how expensive the vacuum cleaner is.

Less Autonomy

Sims will now only vacuum autonomously if they’re Neat or have the Good Manners trait from Parenthood. They will also not vacuum a clean house autonomously.

No Audio / No Dust Bunnies / No Filth Fiends

There are three versions for this, choose only one!

noaudio-nobunnyfiend: Removes the audio that plays when transitioning between dust levels and removes Dust Bunnies and Filth Fiends.

noaudio-bunnyfiend: Removes the audio, does not affect Dust Bunnies and Filth Fiends.

audio-nobunnyfiend: Maintains the audio, removes Dust Bunnies and Filth Fiends.

No Positive Buffs

This completely removes any positive buffs related to dust/vacuuming. Negative buffs remain unchanged.
