harlequin_eyes Leg Lamp for TS4
With a quick whiff of ozone you too can enjoy the iconic Leg Lamp from the holiday classic “A Christmas Story,” which is my favorite holiday film of all time! I knew this lamp existed out there somewhere and once I got a hold of it I was bummed out to see that there were no recolors that matched the original movie version. Since my IRL home exists in my game and IRL I have this lamp, I had to remedy that! This sexy table lamp is recolored to match the real thing while being Maxis Match-y. The plumbob finial has been matched to the classic TS4 green, the fringe was hand-drawn to give it more dimension (it’s different than my IRL lamp but it looks much better in-game than solid, straight, thin fringe), the fishnets were updated and made as seamless as I could manage, and I even recolored the light bulb to have a more old-timey amber glow.
Located in Table Lamps for §125 and tagged for Living Room. If you’re having trouble finding it in the catalog you can search for “leg” and it’ll come up.
The original mesh was a conversion of a TS3 creation by kithri by Sims 4 Designs but I was unable to find it anywhere (thanks to misstapya for getting the mesh to me) so I have included it for download. There is an issue with the base of the shade appearing both on and off at the same time, as if there’s an extra part to the mesh, but that is an issue separate from the recolor I’ve made. If anybody can fix that and/or has a different mesh I would be happy to recolor it!
Thanks to TS4 player cascatplayssims for the A Christmas Story lot.
I hope everybody has a safe and wonderful holiday season and I hope you like this lamp!
