No Walkstyles for Elders – Sims 4 Mods

Sims 4 No Elders Walkstyles mod changes the walkstyle for elders to the normal walkstyle. Caveat: it seems that female elders have the male walkstyle, and as far as I can tell, there is no way to fix that. After much troubleshooting, it seems to be coded to reflect whatever the male walkstyle for elders is. No Elder walk added in. Elders walk with the normal default walkstyle.

Sims 4 No Elders Walkstyles mod changes the walkstyle of the elders so they walk normally, and not hunched over.

Technical stuff: it edits the game’s Locomotion Config file and changes a few things. Each walkstyle has an animation linked to it and the file denotes who should perform which animation. For elders, they had a separate line in the default walkstyle section that gave them the elder walk. I’ve changed that to be the adult walkstyles, so they’ll walk like normal human beings.
However, despite this, women walk with the male walkstyles. I cannot figure out why. Everything is as it should be. Still, it’s not all that noticeable. Just be aware of it.

Note that the walkstyles are not altered in CaS, you can still select the different styles and see them. When the sim with one of these styles is moved into the live game, the walkstyle will be set as this mod dictates.

This modifies 9AFE47F5!00000000!3D561E2F86934133.LocomotionConfig and anything else that does will conflict with it—which includes mods to make adults walk like normal when they have to pee. This mod IS compatible with Elder Idle Overhaul
